Starter fertilizer is for newly seeded turf and transplanted trees and shrubs. The high rate of phosphorous helps developing roots establish the plants, while its 25% slow release and lasting nitrogen availability make it the perfect fertilizer for the steady greening of your starter plants.
Analysis & Rates - 18-24-12 with 25% polycoated sulfur coated urea or 12-18-05 W/20% PCSCU. One bag covers 12,500 square feet at a rate of 4 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 square feet.
Applied between March 15 and April 15, a pre-emergent treatment features a light, complete fertilizer that helps turf recover from the damage of winter while providing a steady green.
Our product also contains a professional-grade herbicide that prevents goose grass, crabgrass, and other annual grassy weeds. An application lasts approximately 6 months at a rate of 4 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Do not apply if you're seeding your lawn.
Analysis & Rates - 15-0-5 with .19% Dimension or .43% Barricade with 45% poly coated sulfur coated urea or formulated with organics.
One bag covers 12,500 square feet at a rate of 4 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 sq. feet.
During the principal growing seasons, between May 1 and June 10, and September 1 and October 10, you'll want to use a slow-release product designed to keep your turf green and healthy.
Our product contains slowly available nitrogen to produce a steady green and a special coating to reduce the chances of fertilizer burn. At the same time, you may want to add phosphorus and potassium to guard against depleted or deficient soils.
Analysis & Rates - 32-0-0 formulated with organics and 20% UFLEXX or 32-3-8 with 30% poly coated sulfur coated urea and 2% Iron. One bag covers 16,500 square feet at a rate of 3 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 square feet.
We also have a 25-0-5 mix that contains both PCSCU and A nitrogen stabilizer. 1 bag covers 12,000ft.
Don't let grubs gnaw away at your lawn! Our light, summer fertilizer comes with a powerful .2% Merit insecticide, so a well-timed, watered application protects your lawn from grubs throughout the season.
Analysis & Rates - 15-0-15 with .2% Merit and 50% poly coated sulfur coated urea. One bag covers 14,000 square feet at a recommended rate of 3.5 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 square feet.
You'll also want to consider an as-needed, all-purpose fertilizer throughout the growing season. Our 13-13-13 mix is great for annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs and provides a boost to any flowering ornamental, or food-producing plant.
Analysis & Rates - 13-13-13. One bag covers 6,500 square feet at a rate of 7.5 pounds of fertilizer per 1,000 square feet.
Next year's lawn begins in autumn, so don't forget to plan ahead. Between October 20 and November 25, use our quick-release fertilizer to give turf roots a boost before the big freeze.
Properly timed, a fall application is your best chance to encourage food storage for the winter ahead and a new burst of green come springtime!
